We are all shouldering bigger loads these days – actually, and metaphorically.
The shoulders and neck seem to be where the burden sits. Shoulders can droop forward, the neck can tense. This workshop will help open up your chest and shoulders, lengthening the spine and liberating the neck to rediscover freedom in the body.
We will take a look at some well-loved poses and explore some new sequences that you can take home. Pranayama (yogic breath) exercises at the end will help build your immunity. A strap, a blanket and a brick will be helpful but not essential.
Mat, strap, 2-3 blankets, 2 bricks (pile of books), chair (dining style chair).
Basic props or furniture can be adapted in most cases.
